Meet Steve & Kari

With 17 years experience in Real Estate, Kari has enjoyed working with her clients to see their Real Estate dreams become a reality. Kari takes great pride in giving straight forward, honest & personal service to each and every client. The home selling and/or purchasing process has different factors for every person and by listening closely to specific needs, concerns and desires, Kari helps her clients make decisions that are right for them. 

Before joining Kari in Real Estate in 2020, Steve spent 25 years as an accounts manager for food distribution companies. First, a local family owned company and then with the largest dairy company in Canada. Steve enjoys putting his strong negotiating skills and excellent customer service to work for his clients while making their real estate transaction seamless and the positive experience it should be!

As high school sweethearts and life long residents of the Parksville-Qualicum Beach area, Steve and Kari have seen many things change over the last 40+ years, but with the small town charm and natural beauty remaining constant, they know there is no better place to live, work & play.....or for some, just live & play!

While raising their children Steve and Kari were very involved in the community. Chairing many committees from fundraising events, carnivals, Dry Grad/prom, and being President & Vice President of the Whalers Football team (non-profit society). Kari has also been a driving force in many fundraisers through Royal LePage and was one of the two founding agents for the very successful annual garage sale; raising funds for Haven House which is a local domestic abuse shelter for women & children.

With their children grown Steve & Kari wanted to continue to give back to the communities they love. They do so by donating free back to school haircuts for kids in September, giving away over 50 pumpkins to the community for Halloween and continuing to donate regularly to local schools, charities and events. They are both active members of their local Legion (branch 76), with Steve being on the executive heading up the sports department and Kari sitting on the committee for Qualicum Beach's Canada Day celebration: provided by & hosted by the Legion.  Steve is also a proud member of  "Oceanside Men That Give A Damn", a non-profit that donates quarterly to various local charities and Kari sits on the board for the Parksville-Qualicum Beach Foundation.

Along with achieving many sales volume awards, Kari is most proud of having been awarded the Realtors Care Award by the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board. This award is given yearly to a Realtor that has not only provided excellent service to their clients but has made a notable difference to the community they live in. More recently the Knutson Real Estate Team was voted Oceanside's favourite Realtors by the local news papers readership and are very honored by that.
